Rosie Powers is a mission-driven digital marketing strategist and project manager who is passionate about helping organizations create change via storytelling, engagement, and metrics analysis.
Rosie began her career as a journalist, earning a BA in News-Editorial Journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign before spending the next four years working in newsrooms in Washington, D.C., and the Chicago area. Although she still considers herself a storyteller at heart, she was so inspired by outside volunteering/advocacy work that she eventually left journalism to focus on nonprofit communications. She then worked in marketing leadership at nonprofit Greenheart International and later worked with cause-driven agency See3 on projects with The Alzheimer’s Association and Sharsheret.
Rosie is passionate about the intersectionality of science, environmentalism, and social justice. When she’s not working or volunteering, she’s usually traveling, enjoying a good bottle of wine with friends, or geeking out about outer space and our place in it.
