Ty Lindemans is a creative and multitalented graphic designer, art director, and production pro with extensive experience in print, identity, web, and package design. His strengths include typography, page layout, color theory, digital photography, idea generation, attention to detail, image manipulation and retouching, and knowledge of design history and current trends.
After graduating from Philadelphia University with a degree in Graphic Design Communication, Ty has gone on to work for the renowned package design firm Mittleman Robinson Inc. in New York City, and leading New Jersey firms Novo Design Corp and Knockout. For the past ten years, Ty has been a San Francisco-based freelance and contract designer, with clients including Mission Minded, Pyramid Breweries, EARN, CompassPoint, NACCE, André Taylor, the Inner City Scholarship Fund, OneJustice, Al’s Attire, Shipyard Trust for the Arts, and the Disposable Film Festival.
The challenge of thinking about ideas and seeing them take shape, creating clean, modern and stimulating design based on a varied set of influences and research, and working as part of a collaborative team all motivate Ty. Ty is influenced by elements of modernism, geometry, architecture, interior design, fine art, photography, music (1000+ record collection), fashion, and nature. Ty is also part of Aver Collective, a group of Bay Area designers, artists, writers, makers, thinkers who produce work based on a mutual quest for personal discovery and outward connection. Through collaborative publications, workshops, and projects, they aim to explore new creative avenues within themselves and the extended community their work connects them to.
Ty holds dual American-Dutch citizenship and hopes to move to his favorite city, Amsterdam, in the near future.
