Maggie Karlson

Strategist

Maggie Karlson is an educator and creative strategist who partners with schools and organizations to help them share their story.

Having spent seven years as a classroom teacher at independent schools, and as an independent school alumna, she understands the communities these institutions are trying to reach. She draws from this experience and from her graduate work in Independent School Leadership from Vanderbilt’s Peabody College to help organizations articulate their missions with clarity and purpose across enrollment, marketing, content strategy, and communications.

Maggie’s approach is rooted in the belief that the most compelling school communications don’t just describe a community — they make families feel it. Having served on admissions, faculty development, and community-focused committees, she brings an understanding of the full ecosystem of independent school life that informs every strategy she builds.
