Looking for some tagline inspiration? Here’s a list of nonprofit taglines that inspire us and that we hope inspire you, too.  Is your organization’s tagline doing a good job of inspiring people to support you?

A good tagline, that short word or phrase paired with your organization’s name and logo, should help clarify the value of your mission and hook people emotionally. Does your tagline do that?

  • Because the earth needs a good lawyer, Earth Justice
  • Everyone should have a chance at college, 10,000 Degrees
  • Only you can prevent forest fires, USDA Forest Service and National Association of State Foresters
  • Open your heart to an animal in need, Smiley Dog Rescue
  • Achieve, Skyline College
  • Deliver on the promise of a quality education, National Equity Project
  • Do something good for pets, Pets Unlimited
  • In service to great ideas, Community Initiatives
  • A mind is a terrible thing to waste, United Negro College Fund

If you’re drafting your organization’s tagline, take a look at some techniques to help you craft the perfect tagline.
