We’re thrilled to introduce Sonia M. Torres as Mission Minded’s first Director of Strategic Planning. Sonia will lead our strategic planning practice to help nonprofits, foundations and schools develop inspired and actionable plans that put their mission and stakeholders at the center.
As Director of Strategic Planning, Sonia will collaboratively develop alive and dynamic strategic plans that yield fresh thinking. In turn, this new role will help Mission Minded expand our continuum of strategic services to better meet the needs of today’s nonprofit leaders. From strategic plans to the brand and messages that herald your organization’s priorities and unique impact, Mission Minded can partner with you to ensure you’ve covered all strategic considerations and emerge with a visionary plan that unites all stakeholders and sets you up to reach your goals.
Sonia has 18 years of experience successfully developing and implementing strategic plans and integrated marketing campaigns. Some of her past roles include Director of Communications for the Youth Policy Institute, Director of Marketing and Communications at Summer Search, and Communications and Media Relations Manager with Room to Read. She also recently served on the board of directors for Heyday, an independent California-based nonprofit publisher.
Motivated by her experience as a first-generation college graduate, Sonia has dedicated her career to helping mission-driven, education-focused organizations achieve their strategic goals to positively transform lives.
“It thrills me to have the opportunity to lead the strategic planning practice at Mission Minded. I look forward to expanding our impact and to delivering powerful and actionable plans that will further amplify the good for organizations that work to solve some of the world’s biggest problems.”
